Spaying and neutering at the earliest recommended age can help to prevent annoying problems such as territorial marking, dominance, aggression, and roaming instincts. Spaying and neutering can also limit expensive health problems. Neutering male pets eliminates the risk of developing testicular cancer and drastically decreases the occurrence of prostate problems. Spaying your female pet greatly reduces the risk of breast cancer and completely eliminates the threat of uterine and ovarian cancer.

Kittens

Spayed cats are less likely to have certain health problems including ovarian cysts, uterine infections, and cancer. Males have less of a risk for testicular cancer or prostate problems. Intact males tend to “mark” their territory leaving behind a pungent odor. Neutering your kitten may also result in a more gentle and affectionate cat.
